History:
Motors Corner is pleased to offer for sale this Porsche 911 L 2.0 Sportomatic SWB, which features matching numbers and matching colors. Dating from April 1968, it was delivered new in Belgium in its original 6808 Burgunderrot (Burgundy Red) paintwork with a black leatherette interior. It comes with its Certificate of Authenticity, original service booklet, and owner's manual. The odometer currently shows 25,500 km. Of the 1,110 coupé units produced for this version, only 347 were equipped with the Sportomatic transmission.
Mechanical Condition:
The 1,977 cc engine develops 130 hp. The car is equipped with the Sportomatic transmission: a 4-speed lever that remains manual in operation, but features an automatically actuated clutch—using a vacuum system combined with a torque converter—thereby eliminating the need for a clutch pedal. The vehicle underwent a complete restoration a few years ago and is presented today in perfect, near-concours condition.
Interior Condition:
The interior, featuring its original black leatherette upholstery, has been restored down to the finest detail.
