Motors Corner is pleased to present this 1952 Jaguar XK120 for sale.
This XK120 roadster was delivered new to Max Hoffman, the Jaguar importer for the East Coast in New York, USA. The accompanying Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows that the car was manufactured on February 27, 1952, and left the Browns Lane factory in Birch Grey with a blue interior and soft top.
It returned to the UK in 1998.
The current owner has had this Jaguar since April 2016. A FIVA passport is included in the file.
Interior Condition:
The interior is in very good overall condition.
The cabin is typical of British roadsters of the period. The leather seats offer good support. The original Smiths gauges are complete and functional. The entire interior is in very good overall condition.
Exterior Condition:
The bodywork features the flowing, elegant lines designed by William Lyons. The two-piece windshield, wide fenders, and integrated headlights create an unmistakable silhouette. The chrome trim (front grille, bumpers, hubcaps) is in very good condition. The paintwork is uniform. This XK120 is true to the spirit of post-war British roadsters.
Mechanical Condition:
Under the hood is the 3.4-liter six-cylinder XK engine. This engine, modern for its time, originally produced 160 horsepower and still offers good performance for a 1952 car. The 4-speed manual gearbox allows for crisp gear changes. The drum brake system is typical of the period. The front suspension and rear axle ensure handling true to the original. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly. This XK120 is in very good running order and is ready to drive.
